Aircel announces exciting data, calling benefits for Micromax handsets

Aircel has joined hands with Micromax, an Indian handset marketer, under which the GSM service provider is offering exciting data and calling benefits to Micromax handset users who opt for a new Aircel connection. Thus as soon as you insert a new Aircel SIM into your Micromax handset, you can avail the offer.As per the announcement, Aircel is offering local calling at 1 paisa per two seconds, STD at 1 paisa per second, and 2 GB data (3G or 2G depending on your circle) each month for three months on
3G enabled Micromax handsets. Besides,
WAP content worth Rs 10,000 and Popcorn internet TV is also being offered for three months.

Users of 2G Micromax handsets will also get to enjoy local calls at 1 paisa per two seconds, STD calls at 1 paisa per second, and WAP content worth Rs 10,000. However, they won’t get the Popcorn internet TV as they anyway cannot enjoy it on their 2G connection. Also, 2G Micromax handset users will get only 1 GB of data each month for three months.Aircel has also announced that Micromax dongle users, who opt a new Aircel connection, will get 500 MB of 3G/2G data for free each month for three months.

Indian telecom service provider Vodafone has announced its tie up with eBook and eMagazine store Rockstand, offering seamless payment solution for Vodafone customers for eBook and eMagazine purchases.

Under this tie up Vodafone users will no longer be required to make payments for their eBook and eMagazine purchased using credit or debit cards, instead they can choose to make payment for their purchased directly through their Vodafone account or by using the balance on their Vodafone prepaid account as well.Rockstand

Along with that Rockstand will also be offering exclusive subscription option to Vodafone customers where they would be able to get selected eBooks and eMagazine for as low as Rs 7 per day. Along with that users would also be able to access all the other eMagazines and eBooks that Rockstand has to offer.

Apart from savings on the price of popular eMagazines and eBooks, Rockstand also saves the content on the devices that allows users to access their saved magazines and book even when they are not connected to the internet.

Talking on the announcement Praveen Rajpal, chief executive officer, Rockstand said, “We are receiving wonderful reviews for our application and recently we have crossed a mark of 50,000 downloads, which shows the growing popularity of Digital reading in India. MTS, a part of Sistema Shyam TeleServices, today launched a new offer for its prepaid voice customers. Customers availing this offer, called as ‘Return of 10 Paisa’, need to pay Rs 11 to enjoy all MTS to MTS local, and national calls at 10 paisa per minute and local and national SMS at 10 paisa.
